Ministries

The Lifestyle Relational Evangelism Team (LRE) welcomes visitors and shares information about church programs through home visits to newcomers and church family; provides shut-ins with weekly devotionals and church bulletins. 

The LRE Team meets on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. to coordinate visits. Each visitation team consists of two individuals.

The Outreach Team provides financial support to both local and global ministries, and coordinates collection drives for food, health/flood kits, school supplies, Christmas gifts and Samaritan's Purse shoeboxes.  

Youth from age 14 and adults spend a full week either repairing homes of needy people or providing support services for the workers in approximately 50 camps located in South Carolina.

Windsor teams prepare and serve meals at the Washington Street UMC Soup Cellar the first Monday of each month. Food preparation begins at 10 a.m. and the shift is over at 12:30 p.m.

A 7:30 a.m. breakfast meeting is held the first Sunday of each month at Lizard's Thicket Restaurant on Two Notch Rd. @ I-20. The United Methodist Men prepare meals, support the Scouting programs, do home repairs for special needs and other local missions.

United Methodist Women members support local, national and global missions. Sarah Circle meets the second Thursday of each month (except June, July and August) at 10:30 a.m. in Harbor Hall. We have monthly mission projects and an annual cookie sale in December.

United Methodist Volunteers in Missions participants help others throughout the world with construction, medical and various other activities. Windsor members have served in Brazil, Colombia, Nicaragua and El Salvador.
